Import/exportHere you can import data, originated in other accounting systems and export all your data, if you need to take it away. We'll try to ensure, that you have possibiltiy to import data from various accounting systems. We started with the most common formats, to which most programs, such as: MS Excel, MS Money, Quicken, GNU Cash etc. — are capable of exporting. These are CSV and QIF formats. You may as well inquire, wheather export to this formats is supported by your Internet-banking system. Take into account, that after the successful import a lot of data may be added into your storage (all your transactions for a substantial period + accounts, categories...). If for some reason that data won't match your expectations (e.g. you have entered wrong encoding), you'll need to perform a lot of mundane work by hand to delete it. That's why after the import we require, that you confirm saving data to the permanent storage (a the top of the Cashflow page there will appear a button for this purpose). If you don't confirm, the data won't be saved. The possibility to always take away your data is one of the basic principles of our system. At this moment we support export to CSV format (which you can easily use in Excel) and XML (appropriate for processing by programs). The data is exported as a set of files in the TGZ arhcive (tag-gzip format). This is an open format, which can be opened by the majority of contemporary archivers (for Windows, for example, WinRar). If you have a need for the addition of other formats for export and import, write us: support@fin-ack.com. |
